Gibbs Safety and Wellness Fair 2017

On Saturday, October 21, 2017, Gibbs hosted a Safety and Wellness Fair for its Team Members. The purpose of the Safety & Wellness Fair is to promote safety and wellness for our team members at home –not just at work.

Thirty different health or safety vendors from the community attended giving out prizes and information promoting wellbeing in the home and at work. In addition, a kids costume contest and BBQ contest were held. All monies raised at the event went to support United Way of Henderson County.

“The Gibbs Safety and Wellness fair is an opportunity to promote the safe practices we use in the workplace and introduce them to our team member’s families to use in their personal lives. We include local community vendors to raise awareness of local resources and encourage pro-active healthy practices,” says Eric Gardner, Director of Environmental Health and Safety.
