2016 President's Award Winner Earl Frederick

Gibbs’ President’s Awards are given once a year to individuals who go above and beyond to demonstrate our core H3 Lean Values. Award winners are nominated by peers and voted upon by Gibbs leadership.

Earl has worked at Gibbs since 1986, starting as a trimmer. He worked for years on the road as a Value Engineer and has worked in Special Projects and Facilities Maintenance since 2006. Earl says that throughout his years at Gibbs, he’s made great friends and considers his co-workers to be family. To be successful at Gibbs, Earl says to keep your ears open, be on time every day, and be willing to adapt to change because, “You may be doing something today, and you’ll be doing something else tomorrow.” Earl deals with stressful situations by working it out, then moving on, saying, “I don’t keep stress in.”
