NTMA 6S Excellence Award

Gibbs proudly announces Powertrain is a NTMA 6S Excellence Award winner!  Congratulations to each Team Member at Powertrain.  It’s all of your  hard work and dedication everyday that made it possible to win the 6S Excellence Award.

The 6S  manufacturing principle focuses on sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, and safety. Implementing 6S in manufacturing leads to a number of important benefits, and manufacturers use the methodology to solve some of the most critical issues.  Areas which 6S improve are: waste management, fewer machine downtimes,  quality improvements, less stressful work environment for team members, and an increase in safety.
