New Die Cast Machine Delivered

Gibbs’ newest die cast machine, a Buhler Carat 140L, was delivered and is being installed at the Federal plant.  When this 1600T machine is fully assembled, it will weigh 66 tons which is equivalent to the weight 12 adult elephants!

Its powerful 1,581 tons of die closing force and 123 tons of aluminum injection force allow it to produce aluminum shots ranging in weight from 16 lbs. to 48 lbs.
