Gibbs partners with KYNDLE in KY FAME Program

Gibbs is devoted to work force development and critical components of this are continued partnerships with education providers and expanding work opportunities in our community. One of these exciting new programs being offered in Henderson is the KY FAME program. Gibbs Director of Human Resources, Michelle Ramacciotti, is a KYNDLE FAME Board Member and says, “This program gives students the ability to go to college, learn on-the-job skills, and come out debt-free.”

KY FAME stands for Kentucky Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education.The Kyndle FAME program blends classroom instruction with onsite work experience at the manufacturing facility of a sponsoring company. Participants will attend college two days a week at Henderson Community College’s Henderson Campus while working three days a week at a sponsoring company.

In as few as 18 months (5 semesters), students can earn:

  • Associate of Applied Science – Industrial Maintenance Technician, Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) Track
  • Certificate: Industrial Maintenance Electrical Mechanic
  • Certificate: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Level I
  • Certificate: Electrician Trainee Level I
  • Certificate: Integrated Manufacturing Technologies
  • 1,728 hours hands-on job training

Round One Deadline is January 12, 2018.
