H3 Lean Winner

With more than 800 teammates to choose from, Gibbs could not have picked a more humble teammate for this H3 Lean award.  Dan Carr has been an essential member of the human resources department since beginning his career with Gibbs in late 2003.  Dan truly serves the team members here.  Beginning as an HR Generalist, he soon worked his way up.  He has held the HR Manager role since 2015 and currently serves the machining and Corporate portion of our team, covering over 400 people!  Dan has supported all of our facilities at one time or another during his tenure.

Dan has earned the respect of his teammates throughout his career by listening and helping others in a caring manner.  Dan is honest and giving, and doesn’t seem to know what “quitting time” is at the end of the day.

A recent example of what Dan’s compassion was just last week, as Gibbs faced a major tragedy, Dan was at the plant all three shifts looking after his teammates.  In one of the toughest times in the workplace, Dan stepped up to pray with the team and he followed that up by walking the floor throughout the day & evening checking on people individually.  Dan is a great teammate that exemplifies our values.
