Since joining WiM (Women in Manufacturing) as a corporate member in 2022, Gibbs has used WiM’s online training tools as part of the professional development of our team members. Last year, Darla Culver, a Quality Lead at Gibbs, was the first team member to take WiM’s “Empowering Women in Production” course. Her experience served as a catalyst, inspiring nine more women from various departments within Gibbs to register for the course this year. We are thrilled to announce and celebrate their recent graduation!
The “Empowering Women in Production” course is designed to enhance professional soft skills that are essential across all departments and roles. Participants included team members from IT, Supply Chain, Production, Finance, and Quality. In addition to the online coursework, the program offered a StrengthsFinder assessment, one-on-one coaching sessions, and opportunities for peer networking. Our team members gained valuable insights into industry best practices, leadership strategies, and personal development techniques, which they can now apply in their roles at Gibbs.
Congratulations to graduates Ashley Chenevert, Mary Mayes, Mary Cook, April Burke, Kelley Lott, Stephanie Dossett, Cayla Wright, Tyler McCulloch, and Kelly Russelburg. We’re proud of your commitment to this program and dedication to your continuous learning and growth.
We invite you to watch this short video to hear more about the experience.
