Team Gibbs Volunteered at the South Heights Elementary “Self-Care Fun Fair”

Team Gibbs volunteers had a great time at the South Heights Elementary School’s “Self-Care Fun Fair.” The event, hosted by the City of Henderson’s Inner City Improvement Plan’s Mental Wellness Committee, was fun and educational for all the kids and families who attended.

At the Gibbs table, we offered a STEM experiment of making homemade lava lamps. Using oil, water, food coloring, and Alka Seltzer, the children loved creating the bubbling reaction. Of course, we had a few moments where the colorful concoctions looked a bit too tasty, and we had to act fast to prevent any taste tests!
