Gibbs Directors and Officers

Robert L. Koch - Chairman
Koch Enterprises, President and Chief Executive Officer

Bob is a registered professional engineer and holds seven US patents. He graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BSME and received his MBA from University of Pittsburgh.

Bob serves as director for two publicly traded companies, Fifth Third Bancorp in Cincinnati and Vectren Corporation in Evansville. Bob also is the president of the Koch Foundation. He is past chairman of the University of Evansville Trustees and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Bob is president of the Signature School, the first charter high school in Indiana. In 1991, he received the Rotary Civic Award, and has honorary Doctoral degrees from Vincennes University and Ivy Tech State College. In 1998, he was recognized as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Manufacturing in Indiana. In 2006, he was chosen as the first laureate for the inaugural year of the Evansville Business Hall of Fame.


Steve A. Church - President
Gibbs Die Casting, President

Steve serves on George Koch Sons’ Board of Directors. He is also a Director of Audubon Metals, South Western Communications, Inc., Uniseal and the Koch Foundation.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville and an MBA from IU Kelly School of Business. He received his law degree from IU School of Law, is registered as a patent attorney and a member of the Indiana Bar Association.

Steve is active in the community by serving on the Board of Directors for Deaconess Health Systems, the Evansville Chamber of Commerce and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) – Indiana State Chapter. He is a past Parish Council President for Christ the King Catholic Church and a Brute Society Member.


Brad J. Muehlbauer - Vice President
Koch Air, Vice President of Operations

Brad serves as a director on the boards of Koch Enterprises, Gibbs Die Casting, Brake Supply, Uniseal, and the Koch Foundation.

Brad holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a MBA from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining Koch Air, Brad was Gibbs's president of North America. Brad has also worked as a project manager at BP working on acquisitions, divestitures, and other retail alliances and as a management consultant for KPMG in the Operations Improvement practice.

Brad serves as a board member for Easter Seals of Southwestern Indiana.


James H. Muehlbauer - Vice President
Koch Air, President and Chief Executive Officer

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a MS in Industrial Administration from Purdue University.

Jim serves as a director of the board of Audubon Metals, LLC, Brake Supply Company, Inc., Gibbs Die Casting Corporation, George Koch Sons, LLC, Uniseal, Inc., Koch Air LLC, Red Spot Paint & Varnish Co., Inc., Fifth Third Bank, Indiana and the Koch Foundation.

Jim is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, a member of the University of Southern Indiana School of Business Board of Advisors, a director of the Indiana Association of United Ways, and chairman of the Board of Directors of Deaconess Health System. In 1991, he received the Purdue University Alumni Association Citizenship Award.


Kevin R. Koch - Secretary
Brake Supply Company, President

Kevin serves on the board of directors of Brake Supply, Koch Air, Gibbs Die Casting and the Koch Foundation.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a MBA from IU Kelly School of Business. Prior to Brake, he was with Gibbs Die Casting as a purchasing manager and a project manager for the construction of the Gibbs-Hungary plant while living in Hungary.

Currently, Kevin serves as a board member for the Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana and as president of the Tri-State World Trade Council.


Thomas A. Mowatt - Director
Champion Laboratories, President

Tom graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL.

Tom has been the president of Champion Laboratories since 1981 other than a two year stint during 1984-1986 when he founded and served as chief executive officer of Sunbelt-Omni.


William Baxter - Director
Gibbs Die Casting, Treasurer

Bill is a graduate of Indiana University. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and is Certified in Financial Management (CFM)

Prior to Gibbs, Bill worked at Rogers Group in Nashville and Aeroquip Corporation in Detroit and Henderson.

Bill is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.


Susan E. Parsons - Secretary
Koch Enterprises, Chief Financial Officer

Susan also serves as secretary and treasurer for the Board of Directors of Koch Enterprises, Inc. and Comfort Financial. She is the assistant secretary and assistant treasurer for George Koch Sons, assistant treasurer for Gibbs Die Casting and secretary for Uniseal and Brake Supply.

Susan is a director of Koch Air and the Koch Foundation.

Susan is a Certified Public Accountant, and graduated with honors from Purdue University with a BSIM. Professional associations in which Susan participates include: Institute of Management Accountants, Indiana Society of CPAs and AICPA.

Currently Susan serves as director and treasurer of the YMCA and director of the USI Foundation. Past community activities consist of director and secretary of United Way, Chairman of the Planning Committee, director of Southwestern Indiana Easter Seal Society, director and treasurer of the Volunteer Action Center, and director and treasurer of Family and Children's Service and director and treasurer of Youth Resources of SW Indiana.


Dr. William L. Haeberle - Director
Professor Emeritus of Management, Kelley School of Business, Indiana University

Bill serves as the Senior Fellow at Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Kelley School of Business, Indiana University. While at KSOB, he was a founder in 1952 and director of Executive Education for 25 years, and in 1958 founded the Entrepreneurship program for both MBA and Undergraduates. A venture capitalist and an entrepreneur, he has been an owner in a wide range of business ventures, including: sales (cars, trucks, farm machinery, aircraft); leasing (computers, railroad cars, helicopters, commercial jet aircraft, barges, tugboats, and cable television equipment); oil and gas drilling, exploration, and production; livestock; resort hotels. His current director responsibilities include: floral supplies; plastics: distribution and recycling; a franchisor of nature stores; global aluminum die castings; educational technology equipment; catalog sales of restaurant supplies; manufacturer of farm machinery; and engineering outsourcing services.

Bill earned his DBA in 1952, MBA in 1947 and BS in 1943 – all from Indiana University.
